Retelling the Biblical story of Joseph, his eleven brothers and the coat of many colours, this magical musical is full of unforgettable songs including Those Canaan Days, Any Dream Will Do and Close Every Door To Me.

Making his musical theatre debut, X Factor finalist, Lloyd Daniels will play the title role in the UK’s longest running musical. Reaching the final 5 of the competition, Lloyd went on to perform in sold-out arenas on the X Factor tour and release his first single

X FACTOR’S AMELIA LILY TO JOIN JOSEPH AS NARRATOR

AMELIA LILY is set to bring yet more X Factor to this year’s JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT as she steps into the role of Narrator this month

Amelia, who was mentored by former Destiny’s Child singer Kelly Rowland, finished third on The X Factor 2011, the year Little Mix claimed the crown. But despite just missing out on the top spot, she went on to have chart success with her debut single You Bring Me Joy, which got to number two.

The Middlesbrough-born singer almost missed out on becoming an X Factor finalist after she was eliminated early on in the competition, much to the shock of the viewers. She was brought back in after a fellow contestant was disqualified, and was reinstated by a public vote, resulting in her nickname the “Comeback Kid”.

No stranger to the bright lights, Amelia was the support act for Girls Aloud’s farewell tour in 2013, and for Olly Murs at the INTRO Festival.

The show also sees the welcome return of MATT LAPINSKAS who will be donning his Elvis outfit once more to reprise the role of the Pharaoh. Best known for playing Anthony Moon in BBC EastEnders, Matt was also runner up in the penultimate series of Dancing on Ice. He joined the Joseph cast in 2014 for the UK, making his first musical theatre role.

This colourful retelling of the biblical story about Joseph, his eleven brothers and the coat of many colours sings out to young and old alike with a score which is crammed wall to wall with hits – including Jacob and Sons, Close Every Door and Any Dream Will Do.

Having garnered sensational reviews and standing ovations at every performance since its inception almost 35 years ago, Bill Kenwright’s production of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s sparkling family musical embarks on a new tour opening at Everyman Theatre Cheltenham on 4 February 2015.
