Sandbrook Road, Meadow Lane and other parts of Ainsdale were tonight hit by a massive power cut that saw houses without electrical power.
Mobile phone signals were also affected.
We are unsure what the exact cause was and how far the problem went.
Power was however restored at around 6.35 pm.
